Did you know that 97% of the worlds Salt supply come from Utah? It’s true - and it is a fact that Utah is well aware of. In fact - in the 1960’s there was talk about forming an OPEC type group - setting the price and withholding production to artificially raise the price of salt. At one point, Utah thought that they could fetch nearly $20 / lb! Ah Utah, we could have been the richest state in the nation. Please bring back this idea!
